Thundery showers continuing overnight across England 15C

Monday 02 September
Cloudy to start for most with outbreaks of rain into Western Isles fringing Highland, running across Derry and Antrim, into Gwynedd and Powys, skirting Wiltshire 16C. Cloudy with prolonged rain, mix heavy and thundery Northumberland through Fife to Moray to Shetland through the morning 15C. Remaining areas of England generally cloudy with scattered outbreaks of rain. Into the afternoon persistent rain beginning to clear from eastern Scotland, sunshine western areas and into N.Ireland, sunshine and further showers across much of England and into Wales, warm and humid 22 to 24C showers continuing into and during the evening Powys, acrosss Worcestshire to Norfolk, rain easing away from Scotland.
