Monday night Rain sweeps across Ireland into Scotland into the night, heavy in western areas. South to southwesterly winds strengthening, gales locally near northwestern coasts. Some drizzly rain reaching Wales, southwest England, also Cumbria overnight. High cloud building for much of England, but most places stay dry. Clearer skies toward the east. Fairly humid toward the southwest. Overnight lows 10 to 14C.
Tuesday A front draped over Scotland and through the Irish Sea will be slow-moving and brings periods of rain, heavy at times into west Wales, Cumbria and southwest Scotland. Showery rain in western Scotland. Drier in the Midlands with cloudy skies. East and southern England has bright and sunny spells. Ireland sees cloud and rain in the east, but improving from the west. South to southwesterly breezes. Highs at 26C in eastern England, 20C Ireland, 16 to 18C Scotland & northwest England.
Wednesday A slow-moving front over western England and Wales brings cloudy skies and rain, risk of some heavier rain in southwest England. A little rain moving into central England later in the day. Eastern England stays dry with sunshine. The far west may brighten up later. Showery rain for western Scotland and Ireland. Drier eastern Scotland. South to southwesterly breezes, lighter winds for southern regions. Warm and humid, highs 25 to 27C southeast, 23C Midlands, 17 to 20C north and west.
