Staying warm in south
Some rain midweek

Monday
High pressure ridges in across much of the country on Monday, though there is a weak front lying across southern Scotland into northern England and some eastern English counties. This will bring more cloud here and some patchy rain and or drizzle, though some places could see more persistent rain. Elsewhere will be dry with developing sunny spells and again pleasantly warm. More persistent rain is expected to push into western then northern parts of Scotland later in the day. Highs at 17 to 24C though cooler across northern Scotland.


Monday Night
Overnight, most will stay dry, though there will be more cloud about further north where there is likely to be some showers on to northern and western areas of Scotland and northwest England where it will be breezy, more persistent rain across the Northern Isles. Mild with lows at 11 to 16C.
 


Tuesday
Low pressure over Iceland on Tuesday will bring blustery winds and outbreaks of rain to Scotland and Northern Ireland. The rain will be heavy and persistent across western Scotland. The rain moving south into northern England through the day. Less windy elsewhere and dry with warm sunny spells. Highs at 15 to 24C.
 


Wednesday
A cold front moves south on Wednesday bringing spells of rain, heavy for a time as it passes through northern England, Ireland and Wales, before easing off as it tracks across southern England through the afternoon. Clearing to the north where it will be colder yet brighter and mostly dry. Highs at 16 to 23C in the south, a colder 7 to 11C further north.
