Friday Showery rain affecting western parts of England and Wales this morning, with rain in southwest Scotland. A further area of rain continues in northeast Scotland with some snow on the hills here. The showers band of rain passes eastwards through England and Wales during the morning, leading to a brighter afternoon with drier weather for most. Staying damp in eastern and northern Scotland with further rain here, although snow on hills. Tending to be drier and brighter in western Scotland and Ireland. Highs at 4 to 9C.
Friday Night Rain and snow continues across northern Scotland tonight, most of the snow falling at high levels. A scattering of showers in southern and western parts of the UK at first, these tending to be turning more persistent as the night progresses, and the showers pass eastwards. Lows at 3 to 6C.
Saturday Low pressure remains in control of the weather through Saturday. Bands of showers and rain passing north during the day, some of them heavy at times. A few dier interludes between the showers. High temperatures at 4 to 10C.
Sunday Low pressure is expected to be over Scotland on Sunday. This could bring some strong winds and fairly heavy rain to parts of Scotland. A further area of cloud and showery rain in Wales, southern Ireland and southern England, but tending to stay drier in more sheltered central and eastern areas. Highs at 5 to 9C.
