Showery rain north
Dry to south

Wednesday
Outbreaks of rain clipping into the north and west of Scotland today, breezy here too. A few spots of rain in Northern Ireland and southwest Scotland too. Isolated showers in north Wales, although generally it will be dry. Other areas should be dry with broken cloud and some bright spells. The best of the sunshine in southern England and south Wales. Highs at 8 to 11C.
 


Wednesday Night
Breezy again across Scotland tonight, a scattering of showers in western areas. Showers too in northern and western Scotland, but dry to the east and south. Dry with sunny spells in the rest of England, Wales and much of central and eastern Scotland. Lows near 3 to 5C.
 


Thursday
A cold front passing south through the northern parts of the UK and Ireland on Thursday. This brings cloud and some outbreaks of showery rain in northern England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Turning brighter and colder in northern Scotland. Broken cloud in Wales, central and southern England with a few bright or sunny spells breaking through the cloud. Highs at 5C in northern Scotland, more generally 9 to 13C.


Friday
Higher pressure on Friday, centred to the south of the country. There will be broken cloud and some bright or sunny spells. Thicker cloud in western Scotland and southwest England where weak fronts will give some outbreaks of rain. Heavier showers in western parts of Scotland but dry to the east. Highs around a cool 5 to 8C in Scotland and northern England, 12C in southern England.
