A longer spell of rain over Northern Isles in the morning, clearing later. Light winds for most, but moderate in northwest Scotland. Maximum temperature at around 6C in north, but up to 8C in south.
Friday Night Occasional showers in the evening and overnight mostly close to coastal areas in west, while a longer spell of rain is possible again over the Northern Isles later in the night. Light to moderate breezy, but strong in far north Scotland. Minimum temperatures around 2-3C over Scotland and Northern Ireland, but 4-5C over England and Wales. Expect some frost over Scotland away from the coasts.
Saturday High pressure is gradually building in from the west through the day. Some rain over the Northern Isles this clearing later in the afternoon. A few remaining showers in east, but elsewhere it will be a dry and bright day with sunny spells. Best of the brightness over Northern Ireland, Wales and southwest England. Colder than of late in the evening and overnight, with frost expected overnight mostly away from coasts. Light winds, but moderate for a time in Southeast. Temperature at 4C in north and east, but up to 7C in south and west.
Sunday A mostly dry and bright day across the country with good sunny spells in southwest. A few showers are possible along the east coast but these will mostly light. It will be a rather cold day, with a moderate breeze and temperatures rising to 3-4C nationwide in the afternoon. Frost developing overnight away from east coasts.
