Through the evening an area of moderate to heavy rain comes in across Northern Ireland and western Scotland with showers for north west England and a few across Wales. Dry across the remainder of Britain. In the night that heavier rain spreads in across all of northern England, Wales, The Midlands, Wales and south west England. The rain will be lighter in the south. East Anglia and the south east should stay dry. The rain clears to showers across Scotland and Northern Ireland tonight. Expect minimum temperatures of 7 to 9 Celsius.
It continues breezy across the country today as outbreaks of rain spread into central and eastern parts of England. This heaviest across north east England. To the north expect a brighter day of sunny spells and scattered showers. The rain in the east clears by the afternoon to be replaced by sunshine and a few showers. A brisk north west wind develops during the evening and the night. Generally it becomes dry with just a few showers around some western coasts. Expect top temperatures of 10 to 15 Celsius.
Today the winds will be quite strong from the north west and feeling quite chilly. Western parts of the country along with North Sea coasts may catch some scattered showers through the day. The bulk of inland Britain should be essentially dry with some sun and lots of cloud at times.
