Fair for much of England and Wales, some coastal showers in the west, but some good spells of sunshine too. Cloud and rain in southern Scotland. Showers developing through the morning across much of England and Wales, some of them heavy and thundery, with further showers in central and northern Ireland. Rain continues in southern Scotland although turning patchier; drier in the north of Scotland. Further heavy showers and strong winds this afternoon across much of eastern and northern England, Showers too in eastern Scotland. Some rain or showers in Northern Ireland but dry in the south of Ireland with sunny spells. Highs at 12C in southern Scotland, 21C in southeast England.

The rain passes north and east through he afternoon to reach southwest Scotland, northwest England and the north and west of Wales, although it will become increasingly light and drizzly. Dry in the north and east of Scotland, rain in central Scotland by evening. Probably dry in the south of England too. Becoming brighter in Ireland although staying breezy. Tops near 21C in eastern England, 16C in the west.

East Anglia and southern England my have some cloud and a few spots of rain at first, but becoming drier and brighter during the day.
