Further showers in Scotland, most in central and southern areas where some cloud be heavy. Cloudier here too. The showers remaining heavy in the afternoon in central and southern Scotland, these pushing into northern England and Ireland perhaps merging to more persistent reain with a risk of thunder. Brighter still for the rest of England and Wales with sunny spells and an odd shower. Cloud and a few showers in northern Scotland. fair in the south of Ireland although a risk of a shower later. A fresh west to southwesterly in the south with highs at 12 to 15C in Scotland and northern England, 18C in Ireland, 21C in southeast England.
Tuesday Night More persistent rain in northern England tonight, some of it heavy at first in the northeast. Scattered showers in northern Scotland and western Wales. Mostly dry elsewhere with clear spells. Lows at 6 to 9C.
Wednesday A ridge of high pressure building through the British isles on Wednesday. Fair with broken cloud and some sunny spells for most. There ay be some cloud in the far southeast at times. Further cloud could affect northwest Scotland with the risk of a few spots of drizzle here. Little changes through the day with further dry weather and sunny spells. Highs at 23C in southeast England, 15C in northwest Scotland.
Thursday Low pressure over France on Thursday. A front brings cloud and periods of rain to western Scotland with some drizzle in western Ireland. Cloudy skies over southern and eastern England, perhaps becoming increasingly humid and hazy. Fair for most other areas with sunny spells and feeling warm too. Breezy in the south. Highs at 24C in the Midlands, but just 14C in northwest Scotland.
