Thursday High pressure builds over the the British Isles with mostly dry conditions over England and Wales as well as the Republic of Ireland. Some sunny spells in the morning over England. A few showers over Scotland to start with, but thicker cloud will spread east in the afternoon with outbreaks of rain, this possibly heavy over Sutherland and Caithness. Some light and patchy rain over Northern Ireland too. Light west-northwest wind, becoming fresh southwest through the afternoon. Temperatures will rise up to 7C in north but 9C In south.
Thursday Night It will be a cloudy evening for most with outbreaks of rain over Scotland, this heavy for a time in north. However rain will clear overnight with a mostly dry night for all. It will be breezy overnight keeping the temperatures at 9C in north. Southern parts of England will see lighter winds and possibly clear spells allowing the temperatures to drop to around 2C.
Friday It will be a mostly cloudy day with some brightness across eastern Scotland and eastern/southern England. Further west there is a chance for some patchy drizzle mostly over western coasts of Ireland and Scotland. Later in the day a band of light rain will push across Ireland and western Scotland and then overnight into Saturday over Northwest England and Wales. Breezy with afternoon temperatures at 10C in north but locally 13C in south.
Saturday A rather cloudy day on Saturday with any brightness towards eastern counties of England and Scotland. Some light rain or drizzle is expected over western exposure, this may get more persistent over high ground in Wales and over the Highlands. Fresh to strong westerly winds with maximum temperatures at 9C in north but 12C in south.
