Brighter and fresher weather affecting much of Ireland, this spreading into Wales and most of western England through this morning. Turning drier in eastern coasts. This afternoon sees the rain lingering for some time in East Anglia and the far southeast. At the same time heavy showers across Wales and western England as well as western Ireland, with more persistent rain in western Scotland. Brighter for other areas with good spells of sunshine and feeling fresher. Breezy too with highs at 8 to 11C.
Dry for most to start tonight. Some showers in western Scotland and northwest England this evening, these fading for a time. Thicker cloud and stronger winds across Ireland and the western UK and Ireland bringing rain, some of it heavy. Drier in central and eastern areas and staying breezy. Lows at 1 to 3C.
Fronts passing eastwards through the UK on Friday bringing plenty of cloud and periods of rain. Most of the rain in Scotland and Wales as well as western England. Drizzly and lighter rain in southern and eastern England. Heavy showers for the west of Ireland but tending to be drier in eastern Ireland once the morning rain clears. Turning more showery in western Scotland later in the afternoon too. Highs at 8 to 11C.
More fronts will be pushing northwards on Saturday. These will be bringing rain to many areas, the rain heavy in western areas. The rain reaches Scotland through Saturday afternoon, as it stays wet in Wales and western England with drizzle and lighter rain in Ireland. Turning drier in the eastern Midlands, East Anglia and southern England with some bright or sunny spells coming through, the best of them in the far southeast. Breezy for all. Highs at 8C in northern Scotland, 13C in southeast England.
