Rain later south
Cool, plenty of cloud

A wet morning through Ireland with some heavy bursts of rain in central areas. Dry for the United Kingdom, although rather cloudy and feeling cool with an early ground frost over central Scotland. This afternoon sees outbreaks of rain, reaching south-west Wales and Southwest England, although many other areas should be dry, although rather cloudy the best of any sunshine again across eastern parts of Scotland. Thicker cloud will be pushing onto southern coast of England, bringing rain here by mid afternoon and this will be turning more persistent towards the evening. A few spots of rain also affecting eastern parts of England by late afternoon. Highs at 14C in the south, 9C in central Scotland.

Saturday Night
Clearer skies overnight tonight and dry in most areas. There will be further showers across northern and north-western Scotland with a few showers affecting northern and western parts of Wales as well. A chilly night under the clear skies with lowest temperatures of 0C in central Scotland, nearer 2 to 4C across central and southern England.

High pressure over the British Isles on Sunday. This brings lots of dry weather but also some morning mist and fog patches. These will be clearing away quickly to leave good spells of sunshine and dry conditions for most. Cloudy skies in central and northern Scotland, with some outbreaks of rain here, perhaps some cloud in the hills of northern Scotland, too. Cloud increases through the afternoon across western and southern areas, with the best sunshine in the east. Highs at 9 to 11C.

Pressure remains high on Monday and this allows for light winds and some morning mist and fog patches. These slowly lifting to leave a fair amount of cloud through Monday of the most of England and Wales. Some brighter skies for central and eastern Scotland as well as the north and west of Ireland. However, a few showers could affect a northern and western Scotland with a risk of some spots of drizzle over the high ground of England and Wales. An increasing chance of some drizzle also affecting south-western coasts of England, and southern coast of Ireland. Highs at 9 to 13C.
