A band of rain passes east through the UK and Ireland overnight. Most of the rain affecting western coasts and hills. Drier weather and clearer skies follow through Scotland, Ireland and into northwest England later in the night. Showers in northern and western Ireland as well as the west of Scotland. Scattered showers in western parts of England and Wales. Sunnier spells and drier to the east. Highs at 19C in southeast England, 10C in northern Scotland where there will be gales.
