A band of rain extends through eastern Ireland, central and northern Wales, the Midlands and East Anglia this morning. The rain band heading slowly north and will be affecting northern England through this afternoon. Becoming drier across southern England although rather cloudy, with some showers developing this afternoon in the west. Some of the showers might be heavy. Try a much brighter in Scotland and Northern Ireland but some good spells of sunshine, the best of the sunshine in western Scotland.
