Heavier rain tonight

Wednesday
Rain and strong winds in northern, central and eastern England this morning. Showers in western Scotland and few showers for Ireland, Wales and southwest England too. This afternoon sees the heavy rain across Ireland, northern and central and eastern England and Wales. Showers in southern England, some of these heavy in the southwest. Showers for Ireland, some heavy, these clearing south. Windy for many areas, gales over much of the British Isles. Highs at a cool 12 to 14C for many, 16C in Scotland, Ireland and the far south of England.


Wednesday Night
More rain to come tonight in Scotland and northern England, rain reaching eastern parts of Ireland too. Heavy showers in the east. Further heavy showers and rian to come in Wales and the Midlands. Generally drier in southern England and East Anglia. Lows at 6 to 9C.
 


Thursday
Low pressure over northern England on Thursday. Heavy, thundery showers for Scotland, some blowing into northern and western Wales. Mostly dry in England and southern Wales with cloud here. Brighter for southern and southeastern parts of England. Ireland should be dry with some sunny spells, the best of them in the west. Highs at just 8C in northern Scotland, but 16C in southern England.


Friday
Low pressure remains over the northern areas of the British Isles on Friday. Further heavy showers in Scotland, although not as widespread as Thursday. Scattered showers developing in central and southern areas in the afternoon. Generally a brighter day for many and dry too. Some good spells of sunshine, the best of them in the west. Highs at 17C in England, Wales and Ireland, 12C in Scotland.
