Rain and showers

Spells of rain continue to affect many eastern regions of Scotland being pulled in on a persistent easterly wind flow. Elsewhere is largely dry with sunny spells, though showery rain towards the west and far south. As the day progresses spells of rain along with a strengthening wind will move in across southwest England, Wales, falling heavy at times. Highs of 10 to 15C.

Rain continues to push northwards into central England during the evening before clearing here and moving into northern England and Northern Ireland overnight. Meanwhile, a brisk easterly wind will continue to bring spells of rain to many eastern into central regions of Scotland. Lows at 7 to 11C.

A cloudy and wet day through southern and eastern Scotland, northern England and Northern Ireland on Sunday as a trailing front brings persistent spells of rain through these regions, falling heavy at times. Localised flooding across some areas here could become an issue. Showers affecting many southern and western coasts of England and Wales, otherwise largely dry with sunny spells. Highs at 9 to 14C.

A colder start in the north on Monday. A dry day for most across Scotland into northern England with the best of the sunny spells, though north east Scotland still at risk of some rain pulling in on an easterly wind flow. Elsewhere, will see sunny spells and showers, heavy at times. Highs of 9 to 14C.
