Fronts passing eastwards through the country on Saturday. These bring stronger winds and periods of rain. The rain could be heavy at times. Highs at 7 to 12C.

Rain clearing east on Sunday, associated with a front. Brighter weather follows from the west and north, this bringing cooler conditions too. There will be showers, some of them heavy in the north and west, turning to sleet and snow on hills. More persistent rain with snow on the hills in Scotland and Northern Ireland. High temperatures at 5 to 10C.
