Mist & fog south
Cloud/rain northwest

Saturday
High pressure is expected to be centred over the south of England on Saturday. There may be some morning mist and fog patches, these slowly clearing to leave broken cloud and bright or sunny spells. A weak front pushing south across Scotland bringing some low cloud and patchy rain, mainly across western areas. Drizzle may affect western Ireland too. Highs at 6 to 8C, but 10 or 11C in the far north of Scotland.

Saturday Night
Patchy rain across north and northwest Scotland overnight as well as along some western coasts of Ireland. Elsewhere, some clear spells about which will see frost develop for some, but also rather alot of cloud cover and staying dry. Lows at -2C across parts of England though milder further north with lows here staying largely above zero.

Sunday
The area of high pressure remains over the south of the UK. Frost, mist or fog patches will affect parts of the south at first, again this lifts to leave a dry day with bright or sunny spells. More cloud in the north and west with lighter rain/drizzle turning more persistent later in the day across northwest Scotland. Breezier here too. Highs at 6 to 9C.

Monday
High pressure stays over the UK and Ireland on Monday. Fog in the morning in southern and central England and Wales may be slow to clear. Where it does clear it should be dry with a few bright spells. Thicker cloud Ireland, Northern Ireland and many regions of Scotland where there will be some patchy, lighter rain and drizzle in places. Highs at 5 to 9C, but colder where fog persists.
