An area of cloud and showery rain reaching Wales and southwest England later this morning and early afternoon, passing into central and southern England. Cloudier northern England, some showers in the northwest. Brighter and drier eastern parts of Scotland, but severe gales and showers in the northwest. Sunny spells in Ireland, some showers to the west. A mild day with highs at 9 to 12C.
Drier this evening as showers fade. There will be clearer skies this evening and at first tonight. Increasing wind, cloud and rain reaching western Ireland and the far southwest of England by midnight. Cloud, mist, low cloud and rain the arrives into western England, western and southern Scotland as well as southern coasts of England by the morning. Central and eastern areas should be staying dry with all areas then windy. Lows at 4 to 9C.
Low pressure will be to the west of Scotland on Wednesday. Fronts passing eastwards bringing rain across many central, eastern and southern coasts of England with low cloud and fog over coasts and hills in the south too. More rain in northern Scotland. Windy for much of Scotland, northern England and Ireland, drier here with a few bright or sunny spells. More cloud and rain arrives across Wales, southern and western England as well as southern Ireland later. Best of the weather reamins in eastern Scotland. Highs at a mild 8 to 11C.
Heavy periods of rain on Thursday morning as a shallow area of low pressure spins its way northwards. Some uncertainty over most of the rain will be, although for now it seems this heaviest in western parts of the UK and Scotland. Widespread gales, especially inn the west. Becoming brighter fromt the west with some heavy showers, a risk of some thunderstorms too. Remaining wet in much of Scotland into the afternoon. Tending to turn drier from the west later too. Highs at 11C in the southeast, 7 to 9C elsewhere.
