Tuesday A band of persistent heavy rain sweeping in from the west across Scotland, northern England and Ireland, and strong blustery winds. Breezy, and pockets of drizzle in the morning and early afternoon southern and central regions. The band of heavy rain will spread southwards as the day progresses, reaching the Midlands and Wales in the afternoon, and then southern England in the evening. Brighter weather in the evening from the north, following the frontal system. However, persistent showers remain in western Scotland. A muggy feel, with mild temperatures of 13C in the south and 10C in the north.
Wednesday Very unsettled on Wednesday, with blustery winds and persistent heavy rain in the morning through to the afternoon, causing the risk of flooding in western regions. However, uncertainty surrounding exactly how much rain will fall at this point. The rain is expected to clear in the evening, with clearer skies from the west. A few localised showers in central and northern England. Staying wet along the western coasts of Scotland and Ireland. Strong winds with the risk of gales.
