Few bright spells east

Thursday
Plenty of cloud around through this morning. Some bits of drizzle affecting western coasts and hills. More eastern areas are likely to be drier, although even here there may be some mist and drizzle over the hills. One or two bright spells coming through in more eastern areas too. This afternoon again sees lots of cloud, especially in the west with further bits of drizzle over coasts and hills. Again it may be a little brighter in the east. Turning windier in Ireland with some rain in the west. Very mild in the south at 15C, cooler northern England and Scotland at 9 or 10C.


Thursday Night
Rain passes through Ireland this evening and then across Scotland and northwest England as well as Wales tonight. The rain could be heavy in the west. Drier in central and eastern parts of England. Becoming breezier during the night, some gales in the west. Lows near a mild 6 to 9C.
 


Friday
A deep area of low pressure passes east over the UK and Ireland on Friday. This brings severe gales and rain into Scotland and Ireland. An further area of rain clearing eastern parts of England as the Midlands and southern England have a day of blustery showers. Further blustery showers in southern Wales and southwest England and well as southern Ireland where it stays windy. More persistent rain in northern Wales and northern parts of Ireland. Highs at 10 to 15C, coolest in northern England and Scotland.


Saturday
Low pressure is going to be moving away from eastern coasts on Saturday. The northerly winds bring cloud and a few showers to eastern coasts of England and Scotland. Brighter in more central and western areas of the UK and all of the island of Ireland. A low risk of a few showers in northern and western Wales. Winds N F5 in the east, NW F4-5 in the west.
