Thursday Plenty of cloud this morning across much of eastern and southern Scotland as well as England and Wales. There could be one or two spots of drizzle or light rain over the hills at first, but these tend to fade away to leave a mostly dry day. Turning brighter in more western areas with good spells of sunshine for northern and eastern parts of Ireland and the west of Scotland. The cloud should break this afternoon in eastern Scotland, much of northwest England, the Midlands and southwest England as well as Wales with sunny spells here. Tending to stay cloudier in the southeast. Showers reaching western Scotland and the west of Ireland. Highs at 15 to 20C.
Thursday Night A weak front brings cloud and scattered showers across Sotland and northwest England as well as western Wales and southwest England. Most places stay dry with clear spells. Winds picking up in western Ireland later. Lows at 6 to 11C.
Friday High pressure to the south of the UK builds a ridge northwards on Friday. This brings plenty of dry weather with it, although the remnants of a weak front will allow for cloud over southeast England and East Anglia at first. Most will be bright with sunny spells. Staying bright for most into the afternoon with moe spells of sunshine, although increasing winds and thicker cloud will be pushing rain into the far west of Ierland and western Scotland by evening. Tops at 15 to 20C.
Saturday Low pressure to the west of Ireland on Saturday with high pressure to the east. The southerly flow is going to be warm for much of England and Wales as well as eastern Scotland. There will be plenty of dry weather here together with hazy spells of sunshine. Fronts across Ireland and western Scotland give rain here, some of it heavy, and it will be staying windy too. Tops near 24C in the sunshine across southeast England, 17C in western Scotland.
