Increasingly windy across Britain today, especially in the west. An area of moderate to heavy rain with a risk of thunder across Wales and central and southern parts of England will spread into Northern Ireland, northern England and southern Scotland. This will be clearing to sunny spells from the south as the rain heads into northern Scotland in the afternoon. Some heavy showers work their way into Wales and Northern Ireland. Expect maximums of 11 to 16 Celsius.

In the afternoon it will become drier but a few showers are likely while patchy rain lay persist across north east England. Few if any showers may affect central and southern parts of England. Most places become fine and dry for the evening and night and remaining quite breezy. Look for high temperatures of 10 to 15 Celsius.
