Northeast England from Northumbria to Kent, midlands and southern England dry with sunshine duirng the morning once patchy frost has cleared, temperatures 2-4C. Staying dry with sunny spells through the afternoon across England and Wales, temperatures briefly 5C mid-afternoon, with a light andvariable to northwest wind. Remaining generally cloudy for N.Ireland, western Scotland, Cumbria, Lancashire and Cheshire and north Wales with scattered showers along windward western coasts of the Irish Sea, tmeperatures 5C and a fresh northwest wind.

Saturday Night
Showers continuing for a time during the evening for Scotland, elsewhere dry with variable cloud and a patchy frost through the evening, ground frost at first temperatures below 0C by midnight for northern England, Wales and southwest England with a widespread air frost -2C generally. Some patchy fog Cheshire to Herefs.
 

Sunday
A generally cloudy start with frost for Scotland, Northumbria, Yorkshire to Lancashire with temperatures -2C. Elsewhere patch fog and frost will lift through the morning, with variable cloudy and sunny spells, briefly 5C early afternoon, winds light and variable. Clear skies for most overnight with widespread ground durng the evening and air overnight -2C

Overnight frost and fog slow to clear at first though mostly clearing by midday.Cloudy with sunshine and scattered showers for Scotland and along North Sea coasts from Tayside to Humber, temperatures 3 to 5C. Dry, mainly sunny for midlands, Wales and southern England, briefly 2C early afternoon with a freshening northerly wind.
