One area of rain across eastern parts of Scotland and the north east of England drifts away while another batch of heavier rain across south west England and western Wales spreads into all of Wales and southern England this morning. This then spills into Northern Ireland, northern England and southern Scotland while a number of showers affect Wales and south west England in the afternoon. Highs of 9 to 12 Celsius north to south.

Very windy this evening and tonight across northern Scotland with gales across the Northern Isles. Wet across Scotland with rain clearing northern England this evening. A number of heavy showers persist across western Wales and south west England for the evening and night while rain lingers across eastern Scotland. Expect minimums of 3 to 7 Celsius.

Monday
Strong easterly winds develop across Scotland today with gusty south westerlies across south west England. A drier day for many but with sunnier spells for southern parts of England and Wales. Outbreaks of rain are expected across northern Scotland with it turning to snow over the hills as it turns colder through the day. Showers to affect Northern Ireland, western Wales and south west England, perhaps reaching the southern coasts of England. A cloudy night with a risk of rain for many while snow is possible to lower levels of northern Scotland. A windy night across northern parts of Britain. Expect top temperatures of 6 to 10 Celsius.

A cold, brisk east wind prevail across northern parts of the United Kingdom. Confidence is low on the detail of the rain today but rain may affect northern parts of the country with snow across parts of northern Scotland. Drier towards the south with a risk of a few heavy showers in the far south. Less windy tonight with a chance of rain across eastern parts of England. Drier across central and western areas. Frosty across Northern Ireland tonight as skies look clear. Expect top temperatures of 6 to 11 Celsius.
