Staying fair for most in the afternoon, the drizzle breaking for a while in northwest Scotland too. Warm in the sunshine with highs at 26C in London, but widely 22 to 25C over much of the UK and Ireland, 17C in western Scotland.

Cloud in Scotland and northwest England as well as Ireland with patchy rain over western coasts and hills. As the day progresses cloud slips south through northern England and Wales, mostly dry although with a few spots of rain over hills. Sunny spells developing in Scotland and Ireland, a few showers in western Scotland.Staying fine in southeast England with sunshine. Highs at 29C in the southeast, 23 to 26C in England and Wales, 23C for eastern Scotland, 17C over western coasts of Scotland.
Tuesday A weak front affecting southern Ireland, Wales, central and eastern England bringing cloud and some spots of rain. Brighter in southern areas, although again a few showers here. Brighter in Northern Ireland and much of southern Scotland. Cloudier in the north and west with some showers here. Temperatures rising to 30C in southeast England, 15C in northwest Scotland.
