Damp south
Feeling muggy

Monday
A cloudy day for much of the country on Monday. An area of rain and drizzle affects southern Ireland, Wales and much of western and southern England. Low cloud and some fog shrouding hills and coasts here with little change during the day. Probably tending to become drier and brighter into the afternoon in the Midlands, although still staying cloudy. Some patchy drizzle in western Scotland but dry generally here. The best of any sunshine is likely in northeast Scotland as well as the far northwest of Ireland. Highs at 15C in the cloudier areas, 19C in any brighter spells in the east.

Monday Night
Further periods of rain and drizzle in the west tonight, this then passing eastwards through much of the rest of England and Wales. Misty and murky too. Perhaps staying dry in eastern England. Some drizzle too in western Scotland, but dry in the east. Drier in western Ireland, but some patchy rain and drizzle for the east. Lows near 10 to 14C.

Tuesday
Tuesday sees a slack pressure flow over most of the country. A shallow area of low pressure brings thundery showers across much of central and eastern England. Scattered showers may affect western Scotland and eastern Ireland. Wales and western parts of England are likely to become brighter with some sunny spells. A few sunny spells in the west of Ireland too. Highs at 16 to 21C.

Wednesday
A weak occluded front drifts east through Scotland and Ireland on Wednesday bringing some outbreaks of rain, mainly in the west. Eastern areas will be drier with some bright spells. Elsewere the day is likely to be brighter with sunny spells, the best of these in the east and south. Highs at 17 to 22C.
