Tuesday
Dry at first through central and eastern areas of England and Scotland this morning. Cloud will be increasing. Wet in the west as a front approaches bringing rain and drizzle together with low cloud over western coasts and hills. Winds increasing in western areas too. The rain and drizzle spreading quickly east during the morning with winds picking up for all, gales in the west and south. Cloud shrouding hills as the rain turns heavier in northwest England and western Scotland where significant rain totals may be recorded. Highs at 10 to 13C.

Tuesday Night
A windy night ahead as rain clears east. It will be staying damp in parts of northern and western Scotland with some heavy showers here. Gales will be widespread with gusts of 60 to 70mph over western and northern coasts and hills. Drier in many central, southern and eastern areas through the early hours. Lows near 5 to 10C.
 

Wednesday
A weak ridge of high pressure builds on Wednesday, this bringing a more settled day. It will be windy at first in the north and east, but the winds easing and brighter skies developing with some sunny spells. The risk of some more cloud in southern England, Wales and southern Ireland in the afternoon although staying dry. Some drizzle and rain reaching southwest England and the far south of Ireland through the evening. Feeling cooler with temperatures at 7 to 10C.

Thursday
A southwesterly flow on Thursday with a warm front passing northeast through the country. After a bright start in the east with sunny spells, cloud increases. Drizzle and patchy rain in more western and southern areas with fog shrouding hills and coasts. This drizzle and patchy rain will be passing east through most areas during the morning and afternoon. A few brighter spells developing in central and eastern parts through the afternoon but staying mostly cloudy and drizzly in the west and south. Heavier rain in western Scotland. Breezy in the north and west. Highs at 7 to 12C.
