Thursday
A chilly and breezy morning across the UK and Ireland. There will be some showery outbreaks of rain affecting eastern coasts and hills. A few spots of rain in more central and southern areas too. Further west the cloud is likely to be breaking with a few bright spells coming through. Little change into the afternoon with further cloud and some showery periods of rain, mostly in northern and eastern areas. Southern coasts of England also seeing outbreaks of rain. Drier in the west overall, perhaps with a few bright spells coming through. The best sunshine in western Scotland. Highs at 11 to 13C.


Thursday Night
Periods of rain across central and eastern Scotland tonight. Showery bursts of rain and cloud in northeast England and East Anglia. Generally drier to the west with a fair amount of cloud and a low risk of an odd spot of rain over high ground. Lows near 6 to 10C.
 


Friday
Low pressure drifts to the southwest of Ireland on Friday with high pressure over Scandinavia. The easterly wind will be strong in northern Scotland with a front giving cloud and periods of rain here. A further area of rain arriving in southwest Ireland with some showers on southern coasts of England. Elsewhere it stays chilly but mostly dry. Plenty of cloud, but a few breaks allowing for some bright or sunny spells to develop. Highs at 11 to 14C.


Saturday
Low pressure to the south of Ireland on Saturday. Fronts spread northwards bringing rain and showers to Ireland. A further area of cloud and rain affects much of Northern Ireland and Scotland as well as northern England, although brighter weather with a scattering of showers may follow from the south. Highs at 12 to 16C.
