Some bright spells may develop in more western and southern areas, with the best sunshine across south-west England and western Ireland as well as western Scotland. Tending to be dry for most areas, although feeling very cold in the wind. Highs at 6C on eastern coasts, 3 to 4C in the west and south.
Wednesday Night Cloudy in northeast England and eastern Scotland tonight. Some clearer spells in more western and southern areas with a widespread frost. Dry for most although a few spots of drizzle on eastern coasts. Lows at -3C under the clearer skies, nearer 4C on eastern coasts and hills.
Thursday Thursday remains rather cloudy across much of England and Wales, although dry. It will be feeling a little less cold in the east as well. Some good spells of sunshine across western and southern Wales, southern and south-west England. Early freezing fog in Scotland will be slow to clear, but once it has, it should be Friday with good spells of sunshine. Ireland will have lots of sunshine for many, although always a risk of some low cloud affecting eastern coasts. Highs near 7C in the east, 4 to 5C for most other areas.
Friday Pressure stays high through Friday. This brings another dry day for the vast majority of the British Isles. There will be cloud, especially in eastern areas of the country. The best of any brightness across western England and western Wales. Fog may be freezing and widespread across parts of Scotland, the far north of England and Ireland. Tops at 4 to 5C over Scotland, Wales and much of Ireland, but to 7C in eastern England.
