Southern counties will be cloudy although should be mostly dry but feeling particularly cold in the wind. Cloud will break in parts of Northwest England and western Scotland as well as Ireland, with the best of the sunshine here. It should stay dry into the afternoon again, with most cloud in southern and eastern areas, as well as feeling cold. A notable windchill in the south. Highs at 2 to 3C for most but feeling much colder in the wind.
Tuesday Night Chilly and breezy night across much of England and Wales. It should be mostly dry with broken clouds and some clear spells, most of these in the west. Cloudy skies for northern England with some outbreaks of rain in the north-east. Scotland should be dry with broken cloud, but clear spells in the west. A few outbreaks of rain in Southeast Scotland. Lows at 0C on eastern coasts, -5C in Scotland.
Wednesday Plenty of cloud on Wednesday, across much of central and eastern Scotland, northern England and parts of the Midlands. There will be some showers affecting eastern coast, driven on by the moderate to fresh north-easterly breeze. The best of any brighter spells are likely across southern England where it will also be breezy. Western Scotland will be brighter too with good spells of sunshine as will be Ireland. Highs at 6C for northern and eastern Scotland as well as eastern England, 4C in southern England and Wales.
Thursday High pressure is over the west of Scotland on Thursday. Another chilly day with a fair amount of cloud in eastern and southern areas. This breaks to leave some bright or sunny spells, the best in the west. Breezy in the south. Highs at 4 to 7C.
