Monday
Plenty of cloud affecting the British isles this morning. Drizzle over western and southern coasts and hills, some fog over hills too. More persistent rain may affect western Wales, western Scotland and parts of the north of Ireland. Drier in the east. This afternoon sees further rain in western Wales and southwest England. Patchy rain in the southern Midlands, southern England and East Anglia. Drier in northern England and Ireland although still cloudy. Brighter and colder in northern Scotland with showers north and west. Highs at 9C in northern Scotland, 12C in southern England.


Monday Night
Wet tonight with some heavy periods of rain in Wales, central and southern England. Drier and cloudy across northern England and much of Ireland. Some clearer skies in Scotland, although windy with rain in the far northwest. Lows at 2C central Scotland, 10C in southern England.
 


Tuesday
A front and small area of low pressure brings heavy rain to southern England, Wales and the Midlands on Tuesday, a risk of some local flooding in places. The rain should steadily clear to the south in the afternoon and early evening. Brighter for Scotland and Ireland with some showers north and west, breezy here as well. The brighter weather tending to slip south through central and northern England and Wales n the afternoon with more sunny spells and stronger winds in Ireland and Scotland. Highs at 7 to 12C with cooler air slipping south through the day.


Wednesday
A more west to northwest flow on Wednesday. Heavy showers affecting Scotland and northern England as well as Ireland and parts of Wales. Drier in central and southern areas with some bright or sunny spells. Windy for all with gales being widespread. Highs at 8 to 10C.
