A wet day for Scotland, with heavy rain in the west, some snow on higher hills. North Ireland will see cloudy skies with occasional light rain. England and Wales will also have cloudy conditions but mostly dry. Occasional drizzle spells possible in northern areas. Any sunny spells will likely be confined to southern England. Highs of 9 to 10C in most places, 7C in northern Scotland.


Sunday Night
A low pressure core more towards Scotland overnight which will strengthen winds and bring persistent rain, heavy in the west. Snow on the hills, some down to coastal areas of the far north. Mostly dry south of the Central Belt. A westerly breeze will strengthen in most places. Lows of 1 to 2C in northern Scotland, 4 to 5C in the south.
 


Monday
Heavy rains continue in the morning, some reaching southward near the Lake District. Ireland will have heavy showers in the north, but the south will stay drier. England and Wales may see light drizzle in western areas. A possible mid-afternoon break in the rain is soon swept under another wave of rain. Highs of 9 to 10C across Britain and Ireland, though a rapid sunset cooling in northern Scotland will drop temperatures near 2C.


Tuesday
A windy and overcast day for most. Heavy morning rain over Scotland, northern Ireland, northern England. Rain becoming less constant as the day goes on, though moderate showers are still likely in the west. Snow likely in the Highlands. Central England and Wales may see more persistent rains later. Highs of 9 to 10C most places, northern Scotland staying near 1C.
