The rain could be heavy in central, eastern and southern areas although probably turning drier in the far south of England for a time. Further rain slipping into Wales and the Midlands as well as East Anglia during the later morning and afternoon. Cloudy, colder but drier weather in central and northern Ireland as well as the far north of England. Colder and brighter in Scotland with good spells of sunshine and just a few showers in the northwest.
