Cloudy for many
Drizzle north & west

Wednesday
There will be rain through Scotland on Wednesday morning, most of it affecting southern and western areas. Rain too in Ireland, most of this in the west. Elsewhere lots of cloud and a few spots of drizzle on hills, otherwise dry. This afternoon stays cloudy overall, although a few bright spells developing in sheltered eastern areas. More rain is expected in Scotland and some drizzle could affect the hills of England and Wales. Many areas should stay dry although will be increasingly muggy. Some fog will affect western coasts and hills. Highs at 25C in southern England, widely 18 to 22C.


Wednesday Night
Lots of cloud for most of the United Kingdom and Ireland overnight. There will be outbreaks of rain and drizzle across much of northern England, northern and western Scotland, with some showers affecting much of Ireland. It should be dry across southern Wales, central and southern England where there could be a few clear spells developing. Lows at 13 to 16C.
 


Thursday
A light westerly flow covers the country on Thursday. And included front will be pushing eastwards and that would take some quiet and showery outbreaks of rain with it. Brighter spells are going to be developing but these will also trigger showers. The showers could become heavy at times in the afternoon with the risk of thunder. Tending to turn brighter from the west as the day progresses, with some good spells of sunshine developing in Ireland. The showers fading from Ireland through this afternoon. North East Scotland could become very wet with a rain for much of the day. Highs at 26C in southeast England, 18C in northern Scotland, 20 to 23C elsewhere.


Friday
A slack pressure flow brings sunny spells on Thursday morning, although showers will be developing quickly. The showers may be heavy into Thursday afternoon and they could be sundry to. Fronts may bring more cloud and outbreaks of showery rain into Ireland as well as western Scotland, although this fading and becoming brighter. It is going to be very warm day with temperatures up to 26C in southern parts of England, 22C in Ireland and 21C in southern Scotland.
