A lot of cloud, some rain for northwestern England and Wales plus southeast Ireland. Pockets of drizzle in central England, but mostly dry in the south and east. Frequent rain for western Scotland. Drier and brighter for eastern Scotland. Northern Ireland mainly dry. Light to moderate southwesterly breezes in the north, little wind in the south. Temperatures will reach 5 to 8°C.
Wednesday Slack low pressure influences Britain and Ireland. Local patchy showery rain and a lot of cloud, grey skies and some low-level fog. Glimpses of sun locally. A front develops over France and some steadier rain likely moves into the southeast of England, possibly East Anglia later. Strengthening breezes around the English Channel coasts. Otherwise winds very light. Highs will be 5-7°C across most areas, with local slight overnight frost in the north.
