UK Forecast - August 28, 2020
Chilly
Bright

Saturday
Saturday will be a chilly day as a northerly wind persists, with winds feeling brisk and particularly chilly along eastern coasts. Outbreaks of rain also persist for eastern coasts of England though these become increasingly confined to southeastern areas throughout the day. Elsewhere, there will be some good spells of sunshine but also a scattering of showers blowing in on the breeze. Most of the showers affecting coasts and hills which are exposed to the wind. Highs at 12 to 18C.

Saturday Night
Rain clears the far southeast of England overnight to leave a mostly dry and clear night across the UK and Ireland. Occasional showers may affect north-facing coasts and hills at times but these will be light and fairly isolated. Cloudy to the far southeast with low of 10 to 12C here. Much cooler across the rest of the country with lows of 4 to 8C in towns and cities. Cooler in more rural areas which may allow for a touch of frost to develop in more favoured spots.

Sunday
A ridge of high pressure builds in from the west across the UK and Ireland on Sunday, allowing for a cool, dry and bright start for many. Through the day cloud will increase and even though it should stay mainly dry there is the risk of a possible isolated shower developing in the north later. Chilly with highs at just 13 or 14C in the north and 17C further south.

Monday
A ridge of high pressure remains on Monday for much of the UK. This brings a dry day for many with sunny spells and broken cloud, after a cold start. However, cloud will soon thicken across Ireland and Northern Ireland as a band of rain moves east through the morning, reaching western parts of Britain later on. Highs at 14C in the north and 19C in the south.
