A cold day ahead for many. There will be a brisk wind affecting the far southeast of England giving a few showers on the coasts here. Thicker cloud drifting into Ireland and the west of Scotland, this bringing some mist and outbreaks of rain and drizzle here. Elsewhere morning frost will be clearing to leave broken cloud and good spells of sunshine. The best of the sunshine in Wales, central and northern England. Always more cloud affecting eastern coasts of Scotland and England. Highs at 4 to 6C for many but 7C in east Anglia and southeast England, 11C in western Ireland.
Mostly dry with clearer skies developing in England and Wales as well as parts of eastern Scotland with a frost developing here. A few showers affecting the coasts of Kent. Cloud and some drizzle in the far west of Scotland and the far west of Ireland. Lows near -1C in central and southern England, 9C in western Ireland and western Scotland.
High pressure remains in control of the weather across the UK and Ireland on Thursday. There will be some low cloud affecting western coasts of Ireland and Scotland, these producing some spots of drizzle. There could be some low cloud over western coasts of Wales and England too. Brighter skies developing elsewhere with some spells of sunshine. Highs at a cool 5C in much of England and Wales, 10C in western Irland and western Scotland.
Pressure stays high through Friday. A weak front will be clearing south taking some cloud and showery spots of rain with it over the far southwest of England and southeast England. Dry for most with the cloud then breaking and sunny spells developing. Brighter in northern England and Scotland as well as much of Ireland with sunny spells here. Patchy rain affecting the west coast sof Scotland and western Ireland. Highs at 7 to 10C.
