Showers in east

Tuesday
Cooler air draining south through the UK and Ireland during today. Cloud in southern areas will be breaking this morning, allowing sunny skies to break through and last this afternoon. Most places are going to be dry. More cloud and some showers in northern and eastern Scotland this morning, but as the wind turns more northerly this afternoon there will be increasing cloud over eastern coasts and England and Scotland. This cloud being thick enough to produce some showers. Feeling raw along these eastern coasts during the afternoon. Highs at 5 to 9C, feeling colder in the wind.


Tuesday Night
Clearer skies overnight for many areas. There will always be cloud and some showers affecting eastern coasts, breezy here too. The winds turning lighter to the west and some frost will develop under the clearer skies. Thicker cloud and drizzle affecting the west of Ireland. Lows of -5C in central Scotland, widely 0 to -2C, but 2C in eastern Scotland and eastern England.
 


Wednesday
A ridge of high presssure through the UK on Wednesday, as a warm front brings low cloud and drizzle into western Ireland and the Hebrides. Light winds and clear skies could lead to some fog patches in mid-Wales and parts of western England at first, these tending to clear. Most will have a dry day with sunny spells, although feeling cold. Scattered showers over eastern coasts of England, where there wil be more cloud. The rain perhaps turning more persistent in western Ireland later. Highs at 3 to 6C for most, 7C in western Ireland.


Thursday
High pressure dominates the weather across the UK and Ireland on Thursday. This brings some clear skies and a few fog patches in the morning, although these clearing. Tending to be more cloud to the north and west with the threat of some drizzle over coasts and hills. The best of any sunshine is likely in more southern areas. Highs around 4 to 6C for most, but to a milder 10C in Ireland and western Scotland.
