Changeable, breezy

Monday
Low pressure to the north-west produces a changeable south to south-westerly pattern. Areas of rain or showers passing north-eastwards, locally giving rain for an hour or more. Chance of local heavy or thundery downpours in the north of Britain & Ireland. Breezy, strongest winds around coasts. Occasional sun, but a lot of cloud. A fresh feel, just 15 to 18C north & west, locally 20C on the Moray coast. 20 to 23C central England, 24 to 26C in East Anglia.


Monday night
Further pulses of rain will move in from the south-west into the evening and night, setting in for a few hours over south-west England and south Wales. Rain on and off for north-west England and western Scotland. The north-east generally dry with clear spells. Fairly cloudy for central England, with some outbreaks of rain, but small amounts toward the east. Breezy, or windy around coasts in the north-west. Lows 9 to 14C, locally cooler north.


Tuesday
Low pressure stays to the north-west of the British Isles, and fronts will move in from the Atlantic. Staying breezy in the west and north, with further showers, merging into longer periods of rain for western Scotland, plus north-western parts of Ireland. Patchy rain elsewhere for western Britain, but central, south & eastern areas generally dry with some sunshine. Warmest in the far south-east, up to 25C, but nearer 18 to 22C for most.


Wednesday
A south to southwesterly pattern continues, with high pressure toward the south-east. Variable cloud with occasional showery rain in the west and north. More organised rain may move into Ireland from the west through the day, where winds will strengthen. Generally dry and bright toward the south and east of Britain. Breezy for north & western areas, lighter winds and sea breezes in the south & east. Highs 17 to 26C, warmest south-east.
