This afternoon stays dry and bright for most with more sunny spells. Cloudier skies in Ireland and western Scotland, a few spots of drizzle over western coasts and hills. Turning cloudier to in Wales and southern Ireland. Temperatures at 24C in southeast England, widely 21 to 23C but 18C in western Scotland.
Wednesday Night Generally dry but with increasing cloud and feeling humid tonight. Some drizzle or showery rain arriving over western coasts and hills later in the night, with some coastal fog here too. Heavier rain in western Scotland and western Ireland. Cloudier in the east. Lows at a muggy 12 to 16C.
Thursday A few showers at first on Thursday morning, across many parts of England and Wales, but these will clear quite quickly eastwards with some bright or sunny spells developing. More persistent rain affecting western Scotland and the west of Ireland, but this turning more showery as it edges eastwards. The afternoon sees some further rain in western Scotland and showers in central Ireland, for most the day is dry wth the best of any sunshine in the south. Highs at 26C in southeast England, 14C in northwest Scotland.
Friday Starting fine for most on Friday with good spells of sunshine and becoming very warm in central and eastern areas too. A weakening front in the west brings cloud and some showery rain to western Scotland and the western coasts of England and Wales. As the front nudges east in the afternoon it may set off a few thundery showers in central areas. Thicker cloud and some rain reaching western Ireland and western Scotland later. Highs at 29C in the southeast, 22C in Ireland, northern and eastern Scotland, nearer 19C on the cloudier west coasts.
