Friday
Plenty of cloud across southern England and south Wales on Friday. There could be a few spots of drizzle over exposed western coasts, but also a few bright spells forming inland. Sunnier spells in northern Wales, the Midlands and northern England, although there is the risk of some thicker cloud and a few spots of drizzle or rain affecting the far northern Cumbrian hills. Scotland is dry and bright in the east at first, but windier in the west with cloud and outbreaks of rain here, this edging east through southern areas of Scotland during the late morning and afternoon. Ireland should see broken cloud and some sunny spells but will be mostly dry apart from some western showers. Highs at 15C in northern Scotland, 23C in eastern England.

Friday Night
A windy night in northern and central Scotland with some rain here too. Drier in the east and south. Much of England and Wales will be dry with broken cloud, but some drizzle over western coasts of Wales. Further drizzle and then rain in southern parts of Ireland, but drier in the north. Lows at 8 to 12C.
 

Saturday
Low pressure west of Ireland will be pushing a front east bringing cloud and outbreaks of rain and drizzle to southern Ireland and Wales as well as southwest England. Much low cloud affecting western coasts and hills. More persistent rain passing through northern England in the afternoon, most in the west. Further low cloud over southern and southwestern England. Brighter in Scotland with the best of any sunshine in central and northern areas. Muggy in southern England, fresher in Scotland. Highs at 25C in any sunshine in southeast England, 15C in northern Scotland.

Sunday
Fronts over Ireland, England and Wales on Sunday. These bring further cloud with some outbreaks of patchy rain. More persistent rain could affect the far south of England and parts of northern and western Ireland. Some bright spells in central and eastern England. Brighter skies for Scotland with a few sunny spells. Scattered showers in northern Scotland and through Orkney and Shetland. Highs at 25C in any sunshine in southeast England, 15C in northern Scotland.
