Cloud this morning over East Anglia and southeast England as a weakening front clears east. There will be a few showery bursts of rain, although these fading. Brighter for most other areas with sunny spells and dry conditions. Cloudier in western Scotland and western Ireland with some spots of showery rain here. Staying dry for most though with a fair day for many. Highs at 24C in eastern England, 16C in western Scotland.


Tuesday Night
Showers affecting western coasts and hills tonight, although these relatively scattered for most. Heavier and more persistent rain arrives in western Scotland where there is a risk of gales too. This rain may affect northern and western Ireland. A few showers over western coasts and hills of England and Wales. Fair for other areas under clearer skies. Lows near 8 to 11C.


Wednesday
Low pressure close to northwest Scotland on Wednesday. This brings rain and strong winds to much of northern and western Scotland. Cloud and some showery rain in Ireland. Brighter for England and Wales as well as eastern Scotland, a few sunny spells. The best sunshine in central and eastern England. Highs near 21 to 23C for England and Wales, 21C in southern Ireland, just 14C in the rain in western Scotland.


Thursday
Fronts passing east on Thursday bringing an areas of cloud and rain to much of the country. There will be low cloud and drizzle affecting western and southern coasts and hills as the main rain area clears east, ahead of further rain into Ireland and western Scotland later in the day. Breezy too with a strong southwest wind for some. Highs at a muggy 21 to 24C for most, 17C in much of Scotland, 20C in southern Ireland.
