Monday night Continuing thundery bursts of rain for east and northern Scotland into the evening, but mostly clearing away into the night. A little patchy rain for central England and western hills, but amounting to very little for most places. A lot of cloud, misty in places through to dawn. Some clearer skies moving into western Britain and for Ireland as westerly breezes freshen. Mild in the east, staying at 13 to 16C, cooler for Ireland, Scotland and western England & Wales, lows dipping to 5 to 8C.
Tuesday Areas of showers over central and southern England from early morning, drifting slowly eastwards during the daytime, local heavy showers for eastern England by the afternoon. Showery rain for western Scotland also tending to move eastwards through the day, local heavy showers toward east later. Wales and much of northern England mostly dry with just isolated showers. Light to moderate westerly breezes. Ireland often dry bar odd light showers in the west. Highs 15 to 21C, warmest southeast.
Wednesday A ridge of high pressure to the southwest brings a fair day with sunny spells for most areas. A risk of some showers in western parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland with westerly breezes here. Further showers could occur in southwest England. Light northerly breezes for southern Britain. Highs up to 23C in southern England, 18 to 21C in central and northern England and Wales, also Ireland, 15 to 18C Scotland, coolest in the northwest.
