Alexi: Many places now cleared of the rain, just some eastern regions seeing a few heavier bursts before it clears offshore. A brighter and drier afternoon but scattered showers are about. The next system moving in towards southern Ireland later on today.

Alexi: Many are waking up to a rather cloudy and wet start, although the rain is starting to clear many western areas including Wales. For many it will turn into a drier day with sunny spells.

Alexi: Storm Aurore, named by the French met office, is moving in to southwest England currently sweeping heavy rain and strengthening winds. Rain continues to spread across southern English counties overnight. Meanwhile, a cold front pushes southwards down Scotland.
