Claire: Mist and fog are dominating this morning's weather chart again! This should clear through the morning to leave a mostly dry day everywhere with the exception of the NW and N of Scotland where there could be some rain around. Cloudy for Scotland & Ireland, bright for England & Wales.

Claire: Several stations across England are reporting mist this morning while in Ireland and western Scotland the arrival of a cold front is marked where stations are reporting rain. This front will continue to ease eastward through the day weakening as it goes.

Claire: The UK's highest temperature today was 17.5C at Rhyl in north Wales. This is about 10C above the average February temperature for the town! Elsewhere most areas managed double-digit temperatures with temperatures across England and Wales widely reaching 13 to 15C.

Claire: -11.7C recorded in Chillingham Barns was the coldest night of the winter so far for England. In Scotland, Braemar saw a bitter -15.4C while the coldest spots in Wales and Northern Ireland were -9.6C and -8.5C respectively. Thankfully we will see temperatures rise somewhat today and it will feel less cold than it has done of late.
