Windy in Scotland and Ireland. Rain could be heavy in the west of Scotland and the north and west of Ireland this morning, this then spreading eastwards into this afternoon. Brighter weather with a few showers following to the northern Isles, western Scotland and western Ireland later. Gales in northern England, Scotland and Ireland with gusts to 50mph. Overnight outbreaks of rain affect much of England and Wales, these passing south during the night. Heavy showers following to the north and west of Scotland.
