Increasingly wet Wales and northern England

Good morning,

Cloudy but mostly dry this morning over much of England and eastern Wales. Rain in western Wales will be turning more persistent through this morning, spreading into northwest England too. This leads to some wet weather during this afternoon in these areas, the rain becoming especially heavy in western parts of Wales. Much of northern England will be wet by evening. Winds increasing across England and Wales too.

Scotland sees showers in northern and central areas after early morning rain clears. Then becoming drier and brighter into this afternoon with some good spells of sunshine developing. A pleasant end to the day in much of central and eastern Scotland.

A wet night for much of Wales and northern England, that rain slipping slowly south into central areas through the afternoon.
