A frontal system will bring high winds and prolonged periods of rain to northwestern areas. The best of any dry weather will be in the southeast
Some patchy rain around this morning for Scotland, Northern Ireland, northern England and parts of Wales this morning as a weak front moves southeastward across the country. Windy too with near gale force winds for parts of Scotland and strong gusts across the whole country. Dry and bright in the southeast first thing.
Cloud will build south and eastward through the morning and early afternoon though rain should become increasingly patchy and confined to northern and western areas that are exposed to the northwesterly winds. Winds will stay strong through the afternoon with powerful gusts possible across the country. High temperatures will typically range from 8 to 10C.
Staying cloudy through the evening with rain continuing for northwestern areas exposed to the wind. The heaviest falls of rain will be in northwestern Scotland. Staying windy through Saturday evening too.
Have a great day!
