A warm, dry and sunny day for many, although patchy rain further north

Good morning,

Rather cloudy with outbreaks of rain across parts of northern England, southern and western regions of Scotland and Northern Ireland this morning. Drier elsewhere with lasting sunshine across England, Wales and southern Ireland.

Sunny spells becoming more widespread in the afternoon with any rain beocming more confined further west. A warm day for many at 22 to 27C, but 17C in the cloudier west of Scotland.

Overnight, clear skies for many in the south and west. Cloudier across Scotland into parts of northern England. Patchy light rain across western into central areas of Scotland but mainly dry elsewhere. For most lows staying within double figures at around 10 to 15C.
